Purpose of the Job: The 1st Visual Merchandiser is expected to take a great own responsibility for her/his own progress. Professional development goals are based the tasks of the Communication & Interior Design department on retail organization level. She or he is expected to apply her or his knowledge and skills to create commercial and aesthetic range presentation solutions that will contribute to the sales of IKEA products and solutions while strengthening the IKEA store’s tasks as a leading source for home furnishings ideas, inspiration and smart solutions. Furthermore, she or he is responsible to develop Senior Specialists in IKEA stores. Professional goals are included in her or his personal development plan. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the effective presentation of the IKEA product range, in line with IKEA manuals, current best business practice, common store planning and consistent with the IKEA concept, business priorities and according to the budget targets • Responsible for guiding projects in all areas of the store which requires • Responsible for creating the store layouts in the most commercial and effective way • Understands and analyzes the customer experience of the whole store • Provides range presentation solutions that will inspire visitors and satisfy their home furnishing needs • Responsible for changing the store presentation according to the seasons and the concept • Takes part in rebulding projects and season activity • Informs customers about goods and company services • Responsible for recruiting, developing and leading people Requirements : • A passion for visual merchandising and design, particularly Home Furnishing Design, as well as a curiosity and interest about our customers’ life at home • Strong leadership skills • Effective shop planning, visual merchandising and communication • Different store media and Range Presentation techniques to visualize and communicate the IKEA product range and business priorities in a way that is functional, inspiring, commercial and supports mechanical sales Knowledge of customers’ shopping behavior and how to support the mechanical sales system by making it easy to search, find and choose by store visitors, as well as convenient to shop • Experience of working with Auto CAD • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills • Good practical “hands-on” skills • Fluent English • Mobility within the country • Fast tempo of work • Leading people experience • Implementation of instruments skills • Working experience in similar position in a retail company |
