Purpose of the job: The Goods Flow Manager is responsible for coordinating and optimizing goods-flow operations in the store resulting in agreed goods availability for customers at the lowest possible cost to strengthen IKEA position as the best home furnishing store in the local market. Scope of the job: · Fulfill the customer promise created by “selling & communicating” concerning availability of goods for the customers by minimizing local-local shortages · Plan, organize and monitor store goods flow process from receiving to sales locations replenishment fulfilling the goal to be ready before store opening · Minimize waiting times at full serve handout by optimal goods allocation and planning of resources · Contribute to the range management process by adhering efficient and smooth phase in & phase out procedures (space dimensioning, goods allocation) · Optimize the utilization of existing store logistics capacities (space, equipment, people) · Actively participate in creating the store business plan · Monitor and control development and execution of logistic/goods flow action plans · Lead by example and be the logistics goods flow expert in the store · Create an environment where the IKEA Culture is strong and where the diversity of our customers and co-workers is valued and embraced · Actively participate in securing the logistic competence of all co-workers in the store · Provide future leaders and specialists through active succession planning · Secure the motivation and maintain positive co-worker relations · Responsible for efficient development of replenishment and warehousing activities including use of common IT systems and techniques Requirements: · Minimum 3 years retail supervisory experience, goods flow/supply or commercial knowledge preferred · Strong analytical skills · Good level of English · The ability to work on tactical and operational level · The ability to work through others, set priorities and delegate responsibility · The ability to explain goals and purpose · Developed social skills including a strong interest in people and the ability to show empathy in relationships with others |
