General task: Optimise sales and profitability by working actively with our range in all internal and external media to increase traffic to the store using knowledge of range, local market, local competition and customers as well as the IKEA tools. Driving the national commercial calendar process together with the local commercial calendar for the whole store working with sales and marketing. Scope of the job: Ensuring the vitality of the store by commercially using the range so that customers feel inspired to visit our store more frequently; Securing a range mix appropriate for the local market in all media to maximise the competitive advantage and broaden the customer base; Choosing and presenting the IKEA range to reflect its width and depth; Optimise sales by: knowing the range and actively promoting the IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments; knowing local market potential and working with colleagues, marketing and other functions to plan and implement commercial activities which will attract and convert more visitors to customers; selecting and communicating the range effectively to maximise sales and generate more visits; using all media to drive customer traffic to the store by finding and utilising commercial opportunities and maximising the potential to show the extent of the IKEA product range and price offer; Communicate the action plan to colleagues and gain their active support; Responsible for their own development using their manager for support in improving their competence; Delivering on agreed goals and commercially driving sales through short-term and long-term action plans; Regularly analysing and following-up on commercial activities and KPIs to ensure the achievement of agreed goal and return on investment, and take actions accordingly; Supporting the co-ordination of price deviation actions, optimising opportunities to promote outgoing products and overstock in order to minimise price reductions. Requirements: Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team; Experience of actively selling through understanding your customer and their needs; Ability to set expectations for others and provide clear direction and follow-up; Ability to prioritise and organise own work; Confident in influencing and providing direction to others; Experience of setting action plans, and following up on goals; Proven problem-solving ability, a considered decision-maker; Experience of using the commercial priorities to prioritise their work; Good analytical skills. |
